The monastery "Sv.Nikolaj Srpski" is located at the foot of Sokolska mountain, beneath the highest peak of Rozanj, 15 km from Ljubovija. It represents the natural boundary between Azbukovica and Rađevina. In the tradition of the Serbian people, it has a special meaning, above all, it remained a symbol of invincibility and one of the last strongholds of the Turkish authorities in Serbia.


Throughout the fortification of the fort, this suburb was protected by palisade, and later by the wall, fortification. The monastery is the founding of the bishop of Sabac, Mr. Lavrenty. Sv. Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic, who is celebrating May 3. The church, in whose altar is preserved part of the must of Sv. Bishops Nikolai, was built in 1994 and belongs to the Moravian style. The burgundy iconostasis was made in baroque style and was gilded with 24 - karat gold, while icons in the Byzantine style painted and donated by the sister Krstana Tasić, a famous icon painter. Within the monastery complex there is a museum, a conak and a larger accommodation building "Dom Nikolaja Velimirovića", which has an accommodation capacity that can accommodate 200 guests.


Since 2001, an action called"Moba", has been underway in the monastery , which brings together Serb youth from the Diaspora. In time, our children in the stranger lose their national and religious identity, so the main purpose of this action is to learn the language of their fathers and to renew their ties with the homeland of their ancestors.
